Ground Mount
The wide range of components and systems facilitates the fastening of almost any module configuration to almost any roof. Quick mounting times and sustained durability are achieved through the deployment of high-quality and sophisticated components in conjunction with a structural analysis. Eion offers both roof-parallel and elevated solutions for pitched roofs; simply choose the most appropriate solution for your own roof project.
a) Model – Eion CFPV
Features:
- Cast in place concrete ballasts
- Ideal for soft or rocky soil such as on landfill sites or residential locations
- Partially pre-assembled support structure facilitates quick installation
- No heavy machinery necessary
- Long rail spans reduces the number of necessary supports and foundations
Aren’t There Any Alternative to the Concrete Ballasts?
You’re in luck! In some special circumstances, ground screws may be used in place of the concrete foundations. The system structure doesn’t change at all, simply install the ground screws and then bolt the PvMax feet to the screws much like you would attach them to concrete; the rest stays the same. On your next ballasted ground mount project, your Eion Technical Sales representative will help you figure out if ground screws are right for your project.
What to expect from Eion?
- Full in-house engineering services
- 20 year limited warranty on aluminium systems, 5 year on steel systems
- 100% guarantee on compliant systems, with PE wet stamps available in most states
b) Model – Eion SFPV
Description:
The SFPV System is designed to be the most cost-competitive solution for large-scale solar mounting systems, with proprietary aluminum extrusions to reduce material usage and the highest level of in-house pre-assembly on the market. The result is an attractive solar mounting system installed quickly and with the durability to last.
Features:
- High level of pre-assembly for fast installations
- Easily accessible for ground and system maintenance
- Certified engineering by professional engineer licensed in the location of the project
- 20 year warranty
Geotechnical Testing:
To determine the number of posts required and embedment depth, geotechnical testing is required for all project sites. Such testing generally requires numerous soil samples and subsequent soil classifications, which are the basis for determining the quantitative bearing capacity.
Testing Includes:
- Vertical pull-out tests
- Lateral load tests
- Independent laboratory analysis of soil classification, corrosion potential, gradation, and soil plasticity
What to expect from Eion?
- Full in-house engineering services
- 20 year limited warranty on aluminium systems, 5 year on steel systems
- 100% guarantee on compliant systems, with PE wet stamps available in most states.
